Antichrist In Type Another Dark Shadow

God's word can be compared to a map containing clues to hidden treasures.  Each page revealing golden nuggets of truth about mankind's journey from creation to eternity...

One must find that right key to the chest containing all the treasures of true wealth - Once this (KEY) is found, the recipient may now have access to the greatest truths of all time!!

Jesus Himself testified to this when He said, "Search the Scriptures for it is these which testify of Me," Jn. 5:39

There is more to the O.T. than merely a compilation of stories and systems of social and religious legislation, or codes of ethics.

 

The O.T. is a stage whereby the believer is shown a picture in vivid symbolism, depicting future events.  These very real accounts have been recorded as examples or illustrations that point to a particular person(s) or events that would come to pass in the near or distant future from the time at which it was demonstrated.

Types (foreshadows) are one of the golden nuggets in the chest of treasures that has been mapped out as a hidden clue throughout the Old Testament dispensations, to be a witness of things that were going to be fulfilled.

In other words, God caused His plan to unfold in a progressive sequence, called “The law of natural maturity”.  As Jesus stated in Mark (4:28) “…first comes the blade, then the head, then comes the mature grain in the head”. 

1 Cor. 15:44 shows us that what is in the natural world is also true of the spiritual world.  So as far as types go, there is first the shadow, then the substance; the type, and then the anti-type.

Rom. 15:4 declares, "Whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, that through perseverance and encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”

Of the tabernacle Hebrews 9:8-9 (8:5) says it was, “a symbol for the present time” as well as an example and shadow of the heavenly things". 

Abraham’s wives and children were, according to Paul, an “allegory” Gal. 4:24 that served as a doctrinal teaching of Law and Grace.  So we can see that types are an important witness to the prophecies, doctrines, and an overall view of God’s plan throughout history.

The one typical topic that has not received much attention, but is greatly needed considering the times that we are living in is: the type of the Antichrist.

Let's follow the clues of the Giant Goliath!

   

Starting with the meaning of Goliath’s name,“soothsayer,” which immediately connects him to the powers of evil.  The fact that the Bible cares to mention that he was a “Giant” is prefiguring a super-human being.

The Bible also states that he was an “Enemy” of Israel and that he displayed a super-human ego in his blatant challenge against not just one Israelite, but the whole army of Israel.   "I defy the armies of Israel"  1 Sam. 17:10

The book of Revelation is full of passages showing the "Antichrist" defying the army of God.  Here are just a few; Rev. 6:9-11; 11:7-10; 12:1-8

Then there is the all important mysterious number 666 which is the # of the Antichrist and is linked to Goliath as a type. 1 Sam. 17:4 says he was “SIX” cubits high (and a span).

A cubit equals 18 in. 18 is the secret occult number encoded.  It is the number 666 the perfect satanic secret number - (3x6=18).  A span is equivalent to 8.74 in.  The satanic system of counting in code would be  8+7+4 = 19, which is the # attributed to “the fire god”.

April 19th  - is a Satanic ritual day relating to fire - the fire god, Baal or Moloch/Molech/Nimrod (the Sun God) or the Roman god Saturn (Satan/Devil).  Moloch demands the sacrifice of children. Lev. 18:21; 2Ki. 23:10; Jer. 32:35; Acts 7:43.

An example of this kind of occult scheme which produces a fear induced obedience and is believed by many to have taken place in Waco on (April 19 1993) and Oklahoma (April 19 1995).  They believe that the children were sacrificed as a ritual to Baal/Moloch according to the satanic date that correlates to the same ancient dates practiced by the Phoenician and Canaanite people.

In other words, the controlling influence that has been pulling strings to fit the agenda of a new global government in which mankind will become enslaved (Rev. 13:13-17; 18:11-13).

“ The merchants of the earth weep and mourn over her (Babylon, the global religious system that is controlled by the Antichrist) because no one BUYS their cargo any more ; cargo of gold, silver…cargo of horses, chariots and HUMAN LIVES.”

“Slaves and Human Lives” is equivalent to modern day concentration camps.

 

This is Satan’s plan!  He uses these occult groups to set the stage for his greatest master-piece ever - The Antichrist- and brings the whole world under his control through deceit  (Dan. 8:25).

The Bible specifically mentions Goliath as “SIX” cubits high, and having  “SIX” pieces of armor- a helmet, coat (scale armor), shin guards, javelin, a spear and a shield 1Sam. 17:5.  His spear head weighed “SIX” hundred shekels of iron (v5).

To the astute reader, it is plain to see the number 666 spelled out in typical fashion.

6 hundred shekels of iron

The number “SIX” by itself is the number of man (man created on the sixth day).  A triple “SIX” however is the number of Antichrist, showing him first of all to be human, second, that this particular human has some super-human abilities Rev. 13:1- 4.  He will be embodied by Satan himself (Dan. 11:38; 2 Thess.3,9; Rev.13:3, 4 [Judas is a N.T. type of Antichrist] ).

As another point of interest; Goliath’s brother is also noted in Scripture as having "six" fingers on both hands, and "six" toes on both feet (2 Samuel 21:20).

So we can see that the grouping of 6's has great significance as an identifying mark of the man of lawlessness (Rev. 13:18; 2 Thess. 2:3-4).

Next we have Goliath being slain by a “SWORD” (1 Sam. 17:51).

Verse 51 says, “David ran and stood over the Philistine and took his “SWORD” and drew it out of its sheath and killed him and cut off his head with it.”

This is striking in that Revelation 13:30 says, “And I saw one of his "HEADS" as if it were “SLAIN”

 Zech.11:17, prophesying of the Antichrist says this;

“Woe to the worthless shepherd who leaves the flock! "A SWORD" will be on his arm…”

    

This is the Greek word “sphazo” (sfad-zo) and means; to butcher, (esp. an animal for food or in a sacrifice), to maim (violently):- kill, or to slay [as with a sword].

 

It can’t get any more precise then this!  God wants us to know that the Antichrist is a real person that will have extraordinary powers given by Satan to draw people after him.

 

Verse 51 says, “David ran and stood over the Philistine and took his “SWORD” and drew it out of its sheath and killed him and cut off his head with it.”

Verse 51 says that David drew his sword and cut off his head.  Surprisingly or should it surprise us, that tucked away in the beginning chapters of Genesis is a prophecy which this type brings out; Gen.3:15   “I will put enmity…He will CRUSH your HEAD…”

King David became a true picture of Christ bringing the Antichrist (the offspring of Satan) to a bitter end. Notice also that in Samuel 17, David did the fighting as his army watched on.  The same is true of the Church in Revelation 19.  Christ fought as we (the Church) looked on!!!  ( Rev. 19:14-21; Dan. 8:23-25).

In each of these respects Goliath foreshadowed the Antichrist to warn people that because Satan is the god of this world system—a global system is going to happen in which "A World Dictator" will reside over it and will ultimately bring the world to a global world war that ONLY CHRIST'S return will be able to put an end to... Dan. 2; Rev 17:18-19.
