WhiteHeart was hugely popular on the contemporary Christian side of the charts during the 90s, and their music goes from easy listening to hard rock, with the harder stuff coming near the end of their existence as a band. The middle song here (Man Overboard) came from their last album, which was considered to be of the alternative genre.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16349087080262856079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5558279154584900089.post-57896174305475997072015-09-28T03:51:49.860-05:002015-09-28T03:51:49.860-05:00Didn't know these songs. It sound...Thanks for stopping by, my dear Penny!!! It sounds like you are well on your way toward fully accepting what our Heavenly Father actually says is absolutely true about Himself and the righteousness of all of His most awesome ways. Be assured that it is very hard to naturally accept, which is part of the apparent gross unfairness of living in this world as we naturally are.

Understanding the purpose of suffering in this world is one of the hardest to accept because of what a painful (often quite literally) subject it is. For it all boils down to our Heavenly Father making our lives in this world much more difficult than we naturally consider to be fair in order to give us opportunities to give Him a very special kind of love, which includes giving Him the full benefit of our considerable doubts. For it is not like He is limited by what He has to work with since He is the Creator of all things--including us and our natural characters when He could have just as easily created us much more like Himself in character to live in His Kingdom of Heaven to begin with. In other words, there was no need for Him to create this world other than to accomplish His purposes, which are for His glory and our ultimate good. Since I have been afflicted with very poor health for over 20 years now, be assured that I do not take the subject of suffering lightly at all.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16349087080262856079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5558279154584900089.post-59855721720719962462014-05-24T13:38:19.157-05:002014-05-24T13:38:19.157-05:00I have to say I agree with you Jerry about the Per...I have to say I agree with you Jerry about the Perfection of God/Heavenly Father being about his omnipotence, omnipresence and omniscience. How would he be God, otherwise? I believe that nothing happens outside of his will. Sometimes I have had to soften this idea by saying that he either causes, approves or allows anything that happens because it is necessary to his design for us...and by soften, I mean I don't come right out and say there is no such thing as "bad or good," because it is all "good" due to it's being Godly. People don't like to think about a Heavenly Father who wants people to suffer while in the flesh, but I think he does because of his perfect love. (Using the word "want" imperfectly, maybe.) I think it's sort of the law of opposites. How else will we truly experience the Glory if we have not experienced the painful earthliness? I've only read this piece once, so if I'm missing your point, that may change when I read it again. I do like the idea of The Box. Alas, I r...Thanks for stopping by, my dear Brenda. Alas, I really don't want to get into it again with you, but what you just commented serves as a good example of one reading what they want to read, which may not necessarily be what was meant to be conveyed. For you remain firmly entrenched in traditional terminology, which gets in the way of where our Heavenly Father wants His children by faith to go. In this particular case, referring to His Holy Scriptures as being the Word of God alludes to there being a separation between us and their Author, with far too many taking this way too far by insisting that the gap can only be bridged by His Holy Scriptures--even with His Holy Spirit illuminating them. Whereas, the true Word of God is the Author, the Lord Jesus Christ, who has been actually with each and every one of us long before we were able to read or hear anything from a book (albeit in the form of His Holy Spirit) and His Holy Scriptures are meant to serve as further help by providing written confirmation of what He Himself wants to personally reveal to all who will but want to humbly accept what He actually says is absolutely true. Be assured that this is what I was actually alluding to in regards to part of the what is truly what that our Heavenly Father's Holy Spirit wants to explain.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16349087080262856079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5558279154584900089.post-91587993586907020722014-03-25T03:46:30.430-05:002014-03-25T03:46:30.430-05:00As I was reading your post Jerry, I was thinking t...As I was reading your post Jerry, I was thinking to myself 'It has to be the Holy Spirit that enlightens the Word of God to a person, and when I reached the end of your post that is exactly what you said.
Amen to that word Jerry, without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit we will only perceive the scriptures with the carnal mind, which has no knowledge of the truth.Brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16165344093549650260noreply@blogger.com
