All Together Now

The following contains all three parts of a series
that were published separately before.

Some Confessions From The Prodigal Son's Brother
And He said, "A man had two sons.  "The younger of them said to his father, 'Father, give me the share of the estate that falls to me.' So he divided his wealth between them.  And not many days later, the younger son gathered everything together and went on a journey into a distant country, and there he squandered his estate with loose living.  Now when he had spent everything, a severe famine occurred in that country, and he began to be impoverished.  "So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.  "And he would have gladly filled his stomach with the pods that the swine were eating, and no one was giving anything to him.  "But when he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have more than enough bread, but I am dying here with hunger!  'I will get up and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me as one of your hired men."'  "So he got up and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.  "And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'  "But the father said to his slaves, 'Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet; and bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.' And they began to celebrate.  "Now his older son was in the field, and when he came and approached the house, he heard music and dancing.  "And he summoned one of the servants and began inquiring what these things could be.  "And he said to him, 'Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has received him back safe and sound.'  "But he became angry and was not willing to go in; and his father came out and began pleading with him.  "But he answered and said to his father, 'Look! For so many years I have been serving you and I have never neglected a command of yours; and yet you have never given me a young goat, so that I might celebrate with my friends; but when this son of yours came, who has devoured your wealth with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.'  "And he said to him, 'Son, you have always been with me, and all that is mine is yours.  'But we had to celebrate and rejoice, for this brother of yours was dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been found.'" [Luke 15:11-32 NAS]

Dog Wars

I first ran across this on [Dogs Deserve Freedom] while doing my daily [Adgitize] visits a little bit ago, and I was absolutely shocked that anyone at Google would approve such an app for their Android-powered phones.  After all, isn’t Google’s motto supposed to be, “Be Not Evil?”

Baptism of Desire?

No, it was not hearing another in the Christian community claiming that Hell does not exist that came as a great shock to me.  For like weeds in an untilled garden, they are popping-up all over the place these days.

It was, however, what Bill O’Reilly said about the Catholic church not teaching that non-Christians are surely headed straight to Hell after their time as a part of this world comes to an end.  For I was under the impression that they taught that all who were not baptized into the Catholic church were doomed to eternal damnation.

Sipping Some Tea

After going back and forth with my dear friend, Blane, who is a fervent follower of [Glenn Beck], it was suggested that I should spend some time actually listening to what Mr. Beck has to say instead of relying so much upon sound-bites from here and there.  Much to my surprise, I heard a lot that sounded right.

My ears really perked-up from 10:00 to 16:47 on the video above.  For he started talking about God being behind what is now happening in this country.  So, why do I still have such an uneasy felling about him?  You can watch the entire show [here].

Thinking out Loud: World Governments, Societal Class Equates Slavery, The Internet & Humanity

In a world where nearly everyone is connected with an online presence, having a small group of people represent constantly evolving and shifting perspectives is archaic. It is simply a matter of time before this old system which is failing to properly represent a true reflection of the nature of humanity crumbles indefinitely.

Regardless of the type of government itself, it could be a Monarchy, democracy, fear-instilling dictatorship, fear- instilling dictatorship cloaked as a democracy... at the end of the day each of these governements is high atop the social paradigm while the rest of us slave away at pennies per hour, each coping in our own way. The familiar sense of boredom sets in, a wondering if there is more to our experience. So we passify our hearts desires with what ever distraction succeeds in dopifying our minds, numbing ourselves in a way that makes our monetary slavery ok for a while... and we forget again.

Being Judgmental

Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand. [Romans 14:4 NIV]

Back when I was still able to get out and about without a great deal of trouble, I would visit different churches in the area and seek face-to-face meetings with the leaders.  One of those involved an audience with the leaders of a Free Will Baptist church that my wife had attended, and her mother is still a member of.

The first question I asked was why they were Free Will Baptists, and the associate pastor quickly responded that Free Will Baptists followed the teachings of Christ Jesus, according to the Holy Scriptures, closer than any other Christian denomination that he was aware of.  When I asked if this was not what members of other Christian denominations also claim, the meeting went downhill in a hurry.  Suffice to say, they were not impressed in the least with what I had been given to say, and all of my efforts to reason with them fell on very deaf ears.

Our parting serves as a perfect example of that.  For when I said that either I or them may be in some serious trouble, come Judgment Day, unless some drastic changes of heart takes place, they both just shrugged.

In Defense of Glenn Beck

***This is being published by me for Blane,
and it is a rebuttal to [As 2012 Approaches…]***

My brother, why say such things?  I think that you may need to give Beck's archived shows a second look.

He does not put forth ANYTHING about anyone without an audio or video clip of them confirming in their own words what he is saying.  Even when doing this, he will not put on snippets of video/audio if it does not include the full context of what they are saying.
This is done in an effort to be sure nothing is taken out of context or misinterpreted.

The last two years I have watched his show, and as he has showed how things were lining up and falling into place, he never claims to predict or foreknow anything.  Instead, he says he simply takes people or organizations like Sorros, and the many Socialist/communist organizations in the U.S., at their word.  He simply believes them when they say they want to destroy our country.

He has had an army arrayed against him (almost all of the t.v. and cable news media, blogs, internet media outlets, government agencies to include the current admin., and the majority of major news papers and magazines) in an effort to destroy his credibility and the things he puts forth.  I have seen onslaughts against him on a daily basis for the last two years, by all of the above mentioned.  Every single one, without exception, has either flat out lied about something he said, or taken his words completely out of context to twist and conform them into nothing representative of anything he would ever say.

He said that the Fed would monetize the debt.  Everyone laughed at him and said he was fearmongering.  The mainstream media ridiculed him.

What happened about six months later?  The Fed monetized our debt and printed astronomical amounts of money (didn't actually print it, but wired into banks billions of dollars).

Did the media outlets that scorned him ever come around to say he was right and they were wrong?  Nope.

Instead, it was done as quietly as possible.  Matter of fact, you would have had a difficult time even finding any news about it when it did occur.

This is only one example.  I could give you dozens more.

Every single time, without fail, the mainstream media outlets persecute him ruthlessly with lies and half truths designed to destroy him.  Many of them working in concert with each other to get "stories straight", so all of the lies match.  They have done this in an effort to give the illusion of truth because the same stories are being presented by many different outlets, so the thinking is they must be true.

Most recently Glen reported on the riots in Tunisia (this was weeks before the middle east riots).  He said that this would match up with a lot of what the unions were doing globally, if these Tunisian riots overflowed into the other countries around them.

Every single news outlet said he was crazy and only trying to scare America.  Al Sharpton, Chris Matthews, several congressmen and women said his program should be shut down and his radio show taken off of the air.  They even questioned his sanity in many cases for saying that this could be the start of the destabilization of many of the mid east governments.

Within one month everything he said would or could happen did happen.  Where are these people that said these things?

Reporting on the very things they all said would never happen, never admitting the wrong they did.  They simply move on hoping that everyone forgets or never remembers what they had reported or said just weeks prior.

The bad thing about all of this is that they are right.  They have learned to exploit the idiocy of the majority of those that listen to them.  And when Glenn says something else that they do not want to believe, or do not want exposed they will continue to do the same thing and get a "free liars pass" with the majority of the American people.  And the people will go right along with them as they continuously assault this man.

He has not ever decisively said anything about the tribulation times other than what you and I have said.  This could or could not be it.  It could start in 100 yrs or in the next 10 seconds.  Please look and listen to his own words—not the words of those who seek after his destruction.

George Sorros has spent millions upon millions to try and destroy and debunk the facts that he has put forth on his t.v. and radio show.  No amount of money or lies will ever destroy the truth.  The truth defends itself, and this is why Sorros and all of the others have failed and will continue to fail in their efforts to destroy him.

Jerry, you know me.  You know what happens to me if I were to tell a lie.  This guy is a good and descent Christian brother, and he is not seeking his own glory.

Superficially His

For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. [1 Corinthians 2:2 KJV]

Not very long after our Heavenly Father started making Himself real to me, I came across a truckstop minister in Weedpatch, which is an actual suburb of Bakersfield, CA.  At first, all was going well.  For he allowed me to tell him about what I had been experiencing for the last few months.  In fact, he even told me that he had also heard our Heavenly Father’s audible voice when He called him to start his ministry while he was out working in the family garden several years before.

I left there with a feeling of great sorrow, however.  For his final response to all of the things that I had been shown so far was 1 Corinthians 2:2, and I did not know how to counter that yet.

Distant Weakness

***This is being published by me for Rev. G. Pep***

"From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I." Psalm 61:2 [NIV]

No matter how far David considered himself from God, "from the ends of the earth..." he cried out to God.  Do we feel like something we have done has placed us at the farthest point possible from our heavenly Father?

It is when we reach this great distance we stop and realize that we do not have the strength to make the trip back home.  At this point there seems to be so many obstacles that we left behind us when we turned from God.  How will we ever be able to contend with all of those issues?  How will we ever be able to navigate our way back to God when we feel so lost?

David simply "cried out to God".  Before he grew too weak or reached the point of apathy [not caring], he spoke his heart to God.  David asked God to lead him.  David despite his greatness in the eyes of the people, knew that he was a sinner and he knew that sin brings us to the low points of life.

When we understand that no matter how successful we become or well liked and esteemed; we still have "the flesh" we still have a "sin nature" and the only one who can "lead us" above that nature, above all those obstacles, is God.  He leads us to the "rock that is higher than I".

When we fellowship with God's Son Jesus, we are at home.  This is a place filled with security and love.  No matter how far it seems we are from Jesus, we can get back home quickly by crying out to God like David did.

Distance between us
I cannot bear,
In my weakness
will you hear?
In my lowness
you could mock,
Instead you lift me
to the highest rock.

Antichrist In Type Another Dark Shadow

***This Is Being Published By Me For Rev. Deb P.***

“…In the roll of the book it is written of Me."
Heb 10:7, quoting from Ezra 6:19-22

God's word can be compared to a map containing clues to hidden treasures.  Each page revealing golden nuggets of truth about mankind's journey from creation to eternity...

Each clue brings us deeper into an understanding of the Lord's revelation of future things... The End !  As we know it...
(Stay tuned for READY OR NOT 1 2 3 4 5 6... 777  HERE COME THE BRIDE AND GROOM... AND ETERNITY!)

One must find that right key to the chest containing all the treasures of true wealth - Once this (KEY) is found, the recipient may now have access to the greatest truths of all time!!

Jesus Himself testified to this when He said, "Search the Scriptures for it is these which testify of Me," Jn. 5:39

There is more to the O.T. than merely a compilation of stories and systems of social and religious legislation, or codes of ethics.

The O.T. is a stage whereby the believer is shown a picture in vivid symbolism, depicting future events.  These very real accounts have been recorded as examples or illustrations that point to a particular person(s) or events that would come to pass in the near or distant future from the time at which it was demonstrated.

Types (foreshadows) are one of the golden nuggets in the chest of treasures that has been mapped out as a hidden clue throughout the Old Testament dispensations, to be a witness of things that were going to be fulfilled.

The Favre Girl

After seeing part of the ABC interview of [Jenn Sterger] about the continuing ramifications of [Brett Favre] trying to get with her when they were both with the New York Jets, I am having a hard time feeling as sorry for her.  After all, why didn’t she just privately tell the poor guy that she wasn’t interested?

Yeah, I really was on her side when [the scandal] first broke.  For I felt like it was horribly unfair of the Jets to fire her when it became clear that she had not invited his advances, but now, she is coming off as one of those girls who love to tease and then acts all offended when the wrong guy responds.

Creative Expression: A Tree with Many Branches

A few evenings ago I wrote a story in my journal and I thought I would expand upon it slightly and share it with all of you.

Once upon a time our language was simple. As a means to express the brilliance of the beauty within ourselves and in the world outside of us, words were each planted within the heart. As these words grew they branched out into more words and sounds. In our efforts to form expression - a likeness of beauty, we have confused ourselves further by complicating our language. As a result, we have distanced ourselves from each other, over misperceived communications of the degrees of such beauty while filtering through a layer of emotions.

None the less, these words took root within our hearts and grew into trees with many branches. Each branch developed an identity. It became it's own word, strong in its belief about who it was and what it meant to be that specific word-branch. If that weren't amazing enough, the beautiful, yet, confusing growth of a multitude of identities within the tree caused it to become divided within itself. It began to perceive the tree as something separate from itself, denying itself, refusing to acknowledge something which was distinctively a large part of its being. It began to see other branches, as completely different words, instead of a piece of the same tree. Each word-branch is only a slightly different representation of the root word.. Maybe the energy went to another section of the tree... maybe the lighting conditions were better at a different part of the tree. It is still the same tree. When we focus solely on the branch, depending on the angle and perspective, we often do not see the tree.

An Edgumacation Is Important

Well, it looks the American education system is not the only one that needs some fixing.  Thanks, [Adullamite]!

As 2012 Approaches...

To be honest, I haven’t given the predictions about this world possibly coming to an end in [December of 2012] much credence.  For the thoughts that I have had on the subject have indicated that we would have at least another 139 and a half years to endure, and in regards to what our Heavenly Father has personally revealed to me, He says that we would do well to focus on the fact that our own particular end of this world could come at any second unless told otherwise by Him—and only Him.

Of course, that doesn’t deny that something big may happen in December of 2012, and some strange things already are.  For it was [just announced] that the Glenn Beck television program on Fox News will end sometime this year.

The Importance of Knowing To Know

***This is being published by me for Frank***

I recently took the time to read the draft of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s (ELCA) social statement on Genetics, Faith, and Responsibility. The statement has many points for all to ponder – as individuals, as a church, and as a society. However, the statement below brought a smile.

“The ELCA contends that morally responsible discernment about these matters requires knowledge and insights from both religious and secular sources. This statement draws on both to provide a framework for theological reflection, public moral deliberation, congregational life, pastoral practice, and mission-oriented action. It focuses attention on analysis, values, and convictions and not on specific issues. Such specific issues require detailed attention and may change quickly as genetic science and its applications open new frontiers and pose new questions.”

In short, the ELCA statement (and others in the document) says that for us to face the decision as a church, society, and individuals, each of us need knowledge of theology, genetics, and the application of in our lives.

With that as the setting, I shift to another topic involving science and theology, thus ask this question: Is knowledge about evolution, science, theology, and the interchange between science and theology required to be able to make an informed decision about evolution?

I’ve written about this topic in the past, and continue to do so on Wednesdays. I invite readers here to visit [A Frank Angle] to share your thoughts on past and upcoming pasts. See [Religion and Science] in the Categories sidebar for past posts.

The Biggest Loser

Jillian Michaels K-Swiss Spring LineImage by rockymountainhigh via FlickrIt is Tuesday night, so that means I will be watching "The Biggest Loser" on television tonight, much like I have since the current season began nearly three months ago.  Normally, I am not a fan of genre of television referred to as "reality television," but when I heard that former Olympic gold medalist Rulon Gardner was going to be a contestant, I decided to watch.

This is the 11th season of "The Biggest Loser," so it must get fairly good ratings on television.  I think this is probably the second season that I have actively watched the show.  It has been a few years since I watched it, but having rooted for Rulon when he won his gold medal, I had to watch this season.  I watched one full season of "Dancing with the Stars" when Kristi Yamaguchi was a contestant and winner of that contest.  That has been the extent of my reality television viewing.

Attention All Birthers!

If you are not familiar with the term, you can read all about it [here].  If you would rather not, the long and the short of it is that a “birther” is someone who believes that President Obama cannot legally serve as the President of the United States of America because of not being born a citizen.

Yes, despite his Hawaiian birth certificate being available for viewing, there are still many who remain adamant.  For it is claimed that the birth certificate is a forgery, and this sounds about right to those who have been drinking way too much [tea] lately.

Soothe Beyond One's Depth

Angelic lids softly awake from a dreamy state
A smile, a deliberate rise in emotional rate
Mere words, whispers of unheard breath
The key, to soothe beyond one's depth

Completely engulfed in passionate arms
Calmly sets foot in graceful charms
Pressed closely, fears set aside
Open one glimpse of truths confide

Angelic lids softly awake from a dreamy state
A smile, a deliberate rise in emotional rate
Mere words, whispers of unheard breath
The key, to soothe beyond one's depth

Silently listen, two hearts become one
Embrace the moment for it has begun
Luminous wonders fill the crisp air
Home apparent of a simple dare

Angelic lids softly awake from a dreamy state
A smile, a deliberate rise in emotional rate
Mere words, whispers of unheard breath
The key, to soothe beyond one's depth

Choose with honor, pure intent simplified
Enigmatic charisma captivated, senses mystified
Wholehearted observations recuperate the soul
Willed determination an assertive benevolent role

Angelic lids softly awake from a dreamy state
A smile, a deliberate rise in emotional rate
Mere words, whispers of unheard breath
The key, to soothe beyond one's depth

How Faith Works in Mysterious Ways

What is faith? I believe it is an unwavering belief in something. Although its use has been mainly delegated to questions of religion, you can also have faith in yourself, in your government, in your future. Its trademark is a strong and positive conviction and outlook influencing the actions of your present and projecting optimism into the future.

Yet where does faith come from? Are you born with it or can you acquire it in later life? And how is it different from having confidence and trust in an outcome or oneself? Because of its overwhelming effect on and tie with religion, I will first try to examine its spiritual aspects before I turn to psychological matters. So what does Christian religion say about faith?

For a Christian, faith is mainly believing in God, often in Jesus Christ as the Lord and Redeemer of the world and human sins. In many cases, it is a strong feeling that illuminates your belief system and sheds light into your core being. Your life suddenly becomes imbued with a sense of direction, purpose and vocation.
