Deemed Perfection

Transcended beyond limitations one meets a destined path
Hovering alongside a mystical depth inexplicable of time
Omnificent being begets the soul of my keepers heart

Mindful thoughts forge through the silenced disposition
Averted means of conduct quiver the skin of desire
Sanctioned trust diversifies all logical decrees of stated passion

Deemed perfection is a state of peaceful serenity within the heart of one's love!

My Thoughts

When I first published that image last Monday, it was under the title of, [Any Thoughts?]  The only one to offer any was [Lavender Darwin], which was about it being the work of another angry skeptic mocking Christians.

His thought was consistent with my first one, and I was absolutely outraged.  It didn’t last very long, however.  For my great anger was quickly overwhelmed by a feeling of deep sorrow that resonated to the very core of my being.

The Numbing of America

In an email exchange with the main news anchor of one of our local television stations, here in Springfield, MO, I mentioned that I believed that the dumbing down of America is not just an expression that makes for a good sound-bite, but after hearing all of the misinformation being broadcast and published about the tornado that utterly destroyed at least 25% of a community of around 50,000 residents, I am beginning to become more and more aware of the numbing of America.  For when almost everything that happens is the biggest, baddest, greatest or the worst thing to ever happen in the history of this world, is it not no wonder that so very many pay such little attention?

Case in point, I received an email from a local organization that is fairly well known for providing aid in disaster areas worldwide with the headline of, Deadliest Tornado In The History Of The U.S. Hits Close To Home.  Now, I realize that this might not be the best time to take exception to something like that, but why would they feel a need to overhype what really is a horrible situation in the hope of soliciting a donation?

89 Confirmed Fatalities So Far

It has been reported that there are now 89 confirmed fatalities from the tornado that tore through the southern part of [Joplin, MO] yesterday evening.  My wife and I live in Springfield, which is in middle of the lower part of the map above, and Joplin lies around 60 miles to the west southwest of here.

The link for Joplin, MO above contains a newspaper article from the Springfield News-Leader, along with some photographs of the devastation.  Below is a video.  Please keep in mind that what is shown on the video was actually a very developed area, with lots of houses and businesses—not out in the middle of nowhere, like it appears to be now.

No Rapture for You

Diagram of the major tribulation views in Chri...Image via WikipediaLike most Saturday nights I was scheduled to deliver pizza from 5pm until midnight or until it slows down enough that I can leave, usually around 11pm. I was kind of bummed that I was working seeing as how Harold Camping said the world would end at 6 pm. That really is something you would want to be with your family should it occur.

Technically, Camping predicted that the Rapture would occur which consists of Jesus returning to take his follower to heaven in the twinkling of an eye. Still, I have read enough of the Bible, end times theology, and Left Behind books to know you wouldn't want to be out driving around when the Rapture occurs. All of those suddenly unoccupied cars could cause some major traffic headaches.

Spell-Check, Please?

Can someone please tell me just how his name is actually spelled?  It is probably not a high priority for most, but all of the different spellings of his name is driving me insane.  Yeah, like I had all that far to go before, I know.

Anyway, ABC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC generally has it as Moammar Gadhafi while the BBC, FOX and Wikipedia has it as Muammar Gaddafi.  There are times when CBS also goes with Mommar Gadhafi.

NBCUniversal Is Run By IDIOTS!!!

If you had any idea just how much of a blind rage I am engulfed in at this very moment, you wouldn’t be thinking that maybe I am being a tad harsh.  For there all sorts of words that I used to be very proficient at spewing, but if you are offended by me calling the powers that be over at [NBC Universal] a bunch of idiots—TOO BAD!

No Talk Of...

It has mostly been in bars (taverns, honky-tonks, etc.) where I have seen such a sign, but it is a general rule in many over places.  Why is that?

Well, it is fairly easy understand why such talk would not be good where adult beverages are consumed.  For they have a tendency to loosen the tongue and inflame passions.

The SC Republican Debate

Last night, FOX News held a debate (of sorts) between several Republican presidential candidates in South Carolina.  Those in attendance were [Ron Paul], [Herman Cain], [Rick Santorum], [Tim Pawlenty] and [Gary Johnson].

Since I just don’t have the energy to do much more at this time, the following is made up of summarized highlights.  Hopefully, I will be able to get more into it later on, but…

TMI

If you are wondering what is going with all of the changes to [You], I was attempting to say enough without saying too much, and it wasn’t working.  Hence, the changes.

You see, the absolute truth about our freewill truly is that it is actually extremely limited.  For it is only in regards to the choice that we are given to make about whether or not we want to truly be one of our Heavenly Father’s children by faith that we can be confident of the fact that there will not be any divine intervention involved.

You

Back when you were racked with guilt, you desperately wanted to believe that our Heavenly Father really is in full control of all that happens.  For that would mean that it might not be all your fault, but now that you are feeling pretty good about yourself, you are enthusiastically waving the flag of freewill.

Be assured that I hope that you come to your senses before it is too late.  For all who want to stand on their own merits, come Judgment Day, will be permitted to do so.

Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful.  Mercy triumphs over judgment! [James 2:12-13 NIV]

Sticks and Stones

Sticks and stones
May break my bones
But words
Will never hurt me

Really?  For it is written: “You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good?  For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.  A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.  But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.  For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”  [Matthew 12:34-37 NIV]

Be assured that this applies just as much when nothing is said at all.  For it is also written: “If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.” [Mark 8:38 NIV]

Lighting the Way

Like the sun lighting the way
Or the moon alighting the sky
My heart leads me with every beat
To the one who enchants my soul
