Four Corners

For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. [1 Corinthians 3:11 NAS]

There are four things about the Lord Jesus Christ that can be thought of as forming the corners for that foundation.  They are that He truly is all-powerful (omnipotent) and all-knowing (omniscient) and always-present (omnipresent) and perfect in all of His most awesome ways (righteous and holy).

Yes, those four things are also true of our Heavenly Father and His Holy Spirit, and there is very good reason for that.  For They truly are [One and the same].

No, this is not meant to try to put Christ Jesus in a box (so to speak).  For He truly is so much more than what we can even start to naturally comprehend, but He is well able to allow and enable any of us to know and understand everything that He wants them to, which is what this is meant to help with.

It really cannot be emphasized strongly enough just how important it is to have a clear understanding of those four things.  For without that, the only kind of faith that one could really have in Him would be blind, which is of no true and lasting value to either them or Him.

ALL-POWERFUL
Be assured that the Lord Jesus Christ truly is all-powerful.  For by Him all things were created, and in Him all things hold together [Colossians 1:16-17].  Quite shockingly, most in the Christian community do not believe that this is indeed true.  For it they did, they would not put up with it being taught that He never meant for sin to enter into this world, which is, in effect, to claim that He was powerless to prevent it from happening.

ALL-KNOWING
Be also assured that the Lord Jesus Christ truly is all-knowing.  For not only does He know everything that there is to know about how everything works (so to speak) [Colossians 2:2-3], He also knows everything that there is to know about each and every one of us [Hebrews 4:12-13].  Oh, but this is another thing that most in the Christian community do not want to believe.  For if they did, there would not be so many who readily accept that He did not see Satan’s the treachery in Satan until after it was too late.

ALWAYS-PRESENT
Yes, the Lord Jesus Christ  truly is always-present [Matthew 28:18-20], and this is another thing that most in the Christian community do not want to believe.  For if they did, they would not so willing to accept that our Heavenly Father’s Holy Bible is the written Word of God instead of wanting to truly have a very close and personal relationship with its Author, along with being so eager to believe that He established His church in the name of His only begotten Son to serve in His stead.

PERFECT
Alas, is there a good reason to insist that the Lord Jesus Christ truly is perfect in all of His most awesome ways?  For who would want to believe it after it being so widely taught and readily accepted for as long as it has that His creation of this world had to have had a serious design flaw or it would not have fallen into disrepair so quickly?  Thankfully, the Lord Jesus Christ is not who most “Christians” say (and even believe) He is.  For if He was, there would not be any good reason to want to build anything that is meant to last (certainly not for all of eternity) upon having faith in Him, which would mean that there is no hope for any of us.

Hi Jerry,
I agree absolutely that the Lord Jesus is all-powerful, all-knowing, always present and perfect.

Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Brenda!!! I have absolutely no doubts about the sincerity of your convictions, but do the particulars of what I have been given to say here really match what you now believe to be true?

Jerry, I believe absolutely that the Lord is all knowing and nothing that has gone on in this world has not been according to His plan. You would have to ask me a specific question for me to be able to give you a specific answer as your post carries many questions that could only be answered by the people included in your accusations. If you were to ask me have I been given writings that I believe the Lord Jesus wants me to share with people on my blogs, then I would have to say 'yes', just like you believe that you have been given writings to share. I believe nothing happens by chance, that every day in my life was written in His book before even one of them was formed. I believe He sees the end from the beginning but we only see what He has allowed us to see. I believe that He can use anything and everything to do whatever He wishes, but as far as what I do is concerned, the race is still in progress, and my mind is still in the process of being renewed in Christ Jesus.

As I tried to gently say before, my dear Brenda, I do believe that you are very serious about what He has called you to do, but according to Him, you are still caught in the disconnect between what He has been showing you and what is found to be acceptable to say in the Christian community. The best example of that (that I have been given at this time) is what you said in another exchange about there having to be a voice available before our Heavenly Father can actually speak, which suggests that He is not around to speak for Himself. Be assured that He has done the same thing to me, and He still lets me say (so to speak) things that I have no idea what they may imply to some when I would like to have all of the proverbial bases covered at the time.

There does have to be a voice Jerry, and that can be an audible one to the human ear, a voice in the heart, or in the mind but I still have to have a plumbline to go back to regarding whose voice it is, and that for me is the Bible. All what you use to bring in your posts to try to explain what you believe is backed up by you with scripture. What do you mean about what is found to be acceptable in the Christian community, and what do you mean when you say that I am still caught in the 'disconnect'between what He has been showing me and that. It's not making any sense at all to me Jerry.

I have just looked back to where I referred to a voice Jerry, it is in a comment on your post about who is our daddy, and I believe I have fully explained my belief on this issue there.

I was finally given a very simple way to explain it to you a couple of days ago. In all fairness, it may very well be that I simply wasn't getting what He may have been telling me it before that, and I was saving it until the rest of an upcoming crumb came through. He wanted you to hear it (which is actually just an echo of what He has been already telling you) now, however.

Anyway, the way Christ Jesus speaks to me is the same way as He did His disciples before He offered Himself up as the sacrifice for our sins on the cross at Calvary, which is as a friend, face to face, with the only thing being missing is His visible presence. To get plumb technical about it, with His visible presence being missing, that would make Him speaking to me in the same way as He usually did Abraham, Moses and all of the rest before and after His time walking among us as fully a man and fully God. Be assured that He speaks to all of us in the same way, but it was not until He started making Himself real to me, which is a big part of being born-again in Him, that I came realize that He had been speaking to me all along--even while I was still in the womb, which is the same for everyone else--regardless of whether they ever come accept it or not.

By the way, what you said about the Bible serving as a plumbline is exactly what I have been saying about it being given as written confirmation of what our Heavenly Father (albeit in the form of His only begotten Son or His Holy Spirit) wants to personally reveal unto each and every one of us, on an individual basis and without exception. Since the upcoming crumb is another attempt to explain what speaking in tongues is really about, our recent exchanges should help make it very easy for you to understand. That is, unless you already do, of course.

Hi Jerry,
just re visited your 'two out of three is bad. What you say here is exactly what I have been saying to you.
'Be assured that it is in regards to testing the spirits that our Heavenly Father’s Holy Scriptures are truly a Godsend in every sense of the word. For what our Heavenly Father has to actually say to us at this time will not contradict what He had placed into written form long ago.' Also you speak about an experience where you asked God a question about Moses and He gave you an answer from scripture that alayed your fears about whether Moses was being punished or not. I too have had experiences where I know God was involved, and then shown me scripture to confirm this. One of them was when I wrote a song called 'I'm on a cloud above the world'. In it were several lines that made me think 'Where did that come from'. only to find several days later that this information was written in the book of Job, and I had never seen it before. All this is still confirming that scripture is the plumbline, even though knowledge and wisdom, understanding and interpretation will be revealed through them to the individual only at a time that the Holy Spirit reveals it. The secret things belong to God, those revealed belong to us.

I am so very glad that you are starting to understand what I have been trying to help you with, my dear Brenda. Be assured that I am not assuming that the problem had to have been all on your end, and I am now earnestly seeking for how I may have made what is actually very simple harder to accept.

Brenda said...

Maybe Jerry it is just the case of you not fully knowing what I believe and simply making an assumption on what you thought I believe. You really have to know a bit more about a person than a few comments on a blog before you are able to make a judgement on the full content of what they believe. Can I ask you, in order to know a little more about you, if you are a member of any particular group of believers, and if you have had any teachings other than from your own experiences and the scriptures?

Brenda said...

Sorry Jerry,
it wasn't when writing the song called 'I'm on a cloud above the world' when I had that particular experience. It was when I wrote a poem called 'An enemy stood at my door'.

Yes, if it really is a case of me just making assumptions based upon my own mistaken observations, it would indeed be a very sorry situation. In regards to my own background, as is disclosed in fairly great detail in The Crackerhead Chronicles, I was raised in a very conservative Southern Baptist family, and I pastored a small Southern Baptist church for two years back in my early 20s.

You see Jerry,
this is what I mean. I have not read those writings of yours which would help me to know more about you and your beliefs, but I would not make a judgement concerning your beliefs on the small amount of correspondence we have had. All of your writings probably give a good description of what is in your life, heart and mind, just as my writings do the same with me. Anyway, keep writing and have a good day.

Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Brenda! Well, there is also our Heavenly Father's participation in every interaction between us (as in all of mankind) to consider. For in the same way as He gave insight into what was really going on in a particular situation to His chosen servants in days of old, so does He continue to do so. Be assured that I am quite eager to start reading as much of what you have published as He will give me the energy to do.

Unknown said...

Well, it was just brought to my attention that I messed up that last message. For it is not just to His chosen servants that our Heavenly Father provides insight into what is really going on in a particular situation. For He provides such information to all without prejudice.

Brenda said...

There is a difference Jerry for those who believe, as stated in:-
'And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: ...'

Unknown said...

Yes, and it all depends upon what He wants to accomplish in and through someone that determines when (and to what extent) He will allow and enable them to enter into His absolute Truth. Hence, one of the reasons why each individual will only be judged upon what they alone are being held accountable for, and our Heavenly Father will sometimes reveal details concerning this to those He chooses in order to accomplish His purposes, such as in the case of when the Apostle Peter was given knowledge of what Ananias and Sapphira had done {Acts 5:1-11}, as well as in the case of a member of the church in Corinth being turned over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh through the Apostle Paul {1 Corinthians 5:1-5}. Although, that incident involving the Apostle Paul can be easily misunderstood. For it was made to sound like he had been actually given the authority to make this decision on his own when it was actually merely being made through him by our Heavenly Father. Getting back to the original point I was given to make about our Heavenly Father revealing things to everyone, be assured that He does this to a much greater extent than most Christians want to believe while not understanding that this is one of the ways that our Heavenly Father uses to bring non-believers to the truth. For it is heard on a daily basis about someone saying something about an answer just popping into their head, and somewhere down the line, He will make it abundantly clear to them that this was of Him. Quite sadly, far too many will still not want to believe--both in and out of the Christian community.

Brenda said...

I cannot say what most Christians want to believe, I do know from my own experience that there is much unbelief regarding the fact that all things are possible with God. I can only be responsible for working out my own salvation and doing what the Lord calls me to do.

Unknown said...

All professing Christians serve as a representatives of Him in the eyes of this world, who can either help clear up the confusion or add all the more to it (which can be added to by simply remaining silent when something should be said). Furthermore, everything published through an online ministry (including comments) has the potential of being read by billions before the end comes to pass. So, it is not like we are operating in our own little corners of this world--regardless of how it may seem to be from our own ground-based points-of-view.

Brenda said...

It still remains that God alone knows what is in the hearts of all people, I can only say what I have seen in Christians that I have come across, even then I do not know the full extent of what they believe, or what stage of growth they are in Christ. We are built up by one another so we can encourage one another according to our faith. I cannot say what 'most Christians' believe. I do however believe, as you imply, that the words that we speak or write, as in these comments will have an effect on the reader, some a positive effect - some a negative effect, depending on the reader's own relationship with God and how much of our writings are truth.

Do as you believe you should, my dear Brenda.
