Margaret Becker - Never For Nothing

Never For Nothing
Margaret Becker
You cried
Alone by the window
Over the love that you lost
You gave it all
Never accounting the cost
Rain like tears
Beat on your window
Melting your heart
To the floor
No love returned
And now you have less
Than before

It’s never for nothing
When you love with no return
It's never for nothing
Light your candle in the darkness
‘Cause it's never for nothing

Your friends
Say
You're the fool
For loving with nothing to gain
But they can't
See the reward
That you'll claim
So hold on
To the holy promises
That says
No labor of love is in vain
Precious tears are changed
To jewels
In the rain

It’s never for nothing
When you love with no return
It's never for nothing
Light your candle in the darkness
‘Cause it's never for nothing

No oh oh oh
No oh oh

It’s never for nothing
When you love with no return
It's never for nothing
Light your candle in the darkness
‘Cause it's never for nothing
No oh
It’s never for nothing
When you love with no return
It's never for nothing
Light your candle in the darkness
‘Cause it's never for nothing
No oh oh

Twila Paris - God Is In Control

God Is In Control
Twila Paris
This is no time for fear
This is a time for faith
And determination
Don't lose the vision here
Carried away
By the emotion
Hold on to all that you hide in your heart
There is one thing that has always been true
It holds the world together

God is in control
We believe that His children will not be forsaken
God is in control
We will choose to remember and never be shaken
There is no power above or beside Him
We know
Oh oh oh
God is in control
Oh oh oh
God is in control

History marches on
There is a bottom line
Drawn across the ages
Culture can make its plan
Oh but the line
Never changes
No matter how the deception may fly
There is one thing that has always been true
It will be true forever

God is in control
We believe that His children will not be forsaken
God is in control
We will choose to remember and never be shaken
There is no power above or beside Him
We know
Oh oh oh
God is in control
Oh oh oh
God is in control

He has never let you down
Why start to worry now
Why start to worry now
He is still the Lord of all we see
And He is still the loving Father
Watching over you and me

God is in control
We believe that His children will not be forsaken
God is in control
We will choose to remember and never be shaken
There is no power above or beside Him
We know
Oh oh oh
God is in control
Oh oh oh
God is in control
Oh oh oh
God is in control
Oh oh oh
God is in control

Noreply-Comment@Blogger.com

It was brought to my attention several weeks ago that a couple of my dear friends were no longer replying to the comments that I had been leaving on their respective blog posts.  At first, I assumed that it was just on account of them receiving so many comments and not having the time to leave a reply for them all, but then days stretched into weeks.

Be assured that I found it quite perplexing.  For I thought that they considered me to be as dear of a friend to them as I considered them to be to me.

It was around this time that my natural tendency towards paranoia snuck up and slapped me on the back of my head, and with my wife not being all that good for my self-esteem, it stung quite a bit.  For she has made it abundantly clear on several occasions that I am not nearly as charming, nor funny, as I would like to believe I am.  Therefore, it made sense to me that I may have crossed a line in another attempt at being charming and/or funny in a comment, and it was on account of this that my dear friends were giving me the silent treatment.

I finally asked one of them in an email if I may have upset her in some way, and her assurances that this was not the case did make me feel better.  Nonetheless, her reason for no longer replying to my comments left me even more perplexed.  For she said that I had hidden my email address, and that it was for this reason that she had not been replying to my comments.

Whoa, when did I do that?  For I have always been very focused on making myself as accessible as possible on account of my ministry, and this included all of my online shenanigans activities.

Oh yeah, it was indeed a puzzler to me.  For there was my email address prominently on display on my Google+ profile, and all of my efforts to find an answer online were proving to be rather fruitless.

Adding all the more to my dilemma was that the way my two friends had been replying to my comments lately was via email.  They started out leaving replies as comments, but had switched to replying to comments via email in the same way as one would reply to a regular email, which is something that I have never pursued on account of wanting to keep as much as possible out in the open—especially when it came to a dispute with a reader.

In all fairness, the thought had floated through some weeks ago that the trouble with my email address being hidden started when I switched from having my name attached to my Blogger profile to my Google+ one, but it was not until a few days ago that I went to check, which is when it all become clear to me.  For when my name was attached to my Blogger profile, email notifications of a comment left by me came from Jerry E. Beuterbaugh (after I changed from FishHawk) FishHawk7@gmail.com via blogger.bounces.google.com, which allows the recipient to just hit “reply” to send a reply via email.  Whereas, with my name being attached to my Google+ profile, email notifications of a comment were coming from Jerry E. Beuterbaugh noreply-comment@blogger.com, which obviously does not allow the recipient to just hit “reply” to send a reply via email.

Now, I struggle with the use of replying to comments via email.  For they do not show up in the comments section, which leaves the impression to a newcomer that they have come to another place where the owner does not care to respond to those who have taken the time to express what they think of their efforts—not to mention stop any hope of continuing the discussion for the benefit of those who are content to just read the back and forth.

Of course, if you do not usually publish articles that might warrant further discussion, there probably would not be much back and forth to read, and if you are trapped in the same bubble as I have been, there probably will not be much back and forth, anyway.  Yeah, the “stuff” that I publish might have something to with that, but I would rather not get into any discussion about it at this time.  (LOL?)

I can also understand how replying to comments via email can save a lot of time for those who have lives to live offline, and it was on account of this that I switched back to my old Blogger profile a couple of days ago.  However, I returned to my Google+ profile when it was brought to my attention that I could no longer “share” blog posts with my followers there, and since their number is now approaching 200, that would be a lot of missed opportunities to "share” what I have been given to offer—regardless of what that may be.

Well, I am really confused right now.  For I just checked if the address associated with email notifications of blog comments from me was still Jerry E. Beuterbaugh noreply-comments@blogger.com with my name being attached to my Google+ profile, and it came up as if it was attached with my Blogger profile.  So, I don’t know if Blogger has made a change or what.  Yeah, if my wife would let me have any of it, her money would be on what.

ESPN Additions

Ironically, some of the best television commercials are for ESPN and only air on ESPN.  Now, I do not know if these ads really are meant to add all the more to the viewing experience, but it works for me.

Phillips, Craig and Dean - Favorite Song of All

Favorite Song of All
Phillips, Craig and Dean
Love you, Jesus

He loves to hear the wind sing
As it whistles through the pines on mountain heaves
And He love to hear the raindrops
As they splash to the ground in a magic melody
He smiles in sweet approval
As the waves crash through the rocks in harmony
And creation joins in unity
To sing to Him majestic symphonies

But His favorite song of all
Is the song of the redeemed
When lost sinners now made clean
Lift their voices loud and strong
When those purchased by His blood
Lift to Him a song of love
There's nothin' more He'd rather hear
Nor so pleasin' to His ear
As His favorite song of all

And He loves to hear the angels
As they sing
Holy Holy is the Lamb
Holy Holy
Holy is the Lamb
Heaven's choirs in harmony
Lift up praises to the Great I Am
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
But He lifts His hands for silence
When the weakest saved by grace begins to sing
Ah ah ah
And a million angels listen
As a newborn soul sings
I've been redeemed

'Cause His favorite song of all
Is the song of the redeemed
When lost sinners now made clean
Lift their voices loud and strong
When those purchased by His blood
Lift to Him a song of love
There's nothin' more He'd rather hear
Nor so pleasin' to His ear
As His favorite song of all

It's not just melodies and harmonies
That catches His attention
It's not just clever lines and phrases
That causes Him to stop and listen
But when anyone set free
Washed and bought by Calvary
Begins to sing

That's His favorite song of all
Is the song of the redeemed
When lost sinners now made clean
Lift their voices loud and strong
When those purchased by His blood
Lift to Him a song of love
There's nothin' more He'd rather hear
Nor so pleasin' to His ear
As His favorite song of all
Holy Holy
Holy is the Lamb
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
That’s His favorite song
Holy Holy
Holy is the Lamb
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Crazy Stories - Serene and Pearl

Crazy Stories
Serene and Pearl
I heard a tale
About a whale
Swallowed a man
And put him back on dry land
Two fish and a loaf
Fed some hungry folks
Five thousand or more
No one went away hungry

What a story
Kinda hard to believe
But because of what my God
Did for me

I believe in crazy stories
I believe dreams still come true
I believe in Guardian Angels
I believe in true love too
The eyes of my heart
My heart
Have seen
And I believe
I believe in crazy stories

He was blind from birth
Jesus took some dirt
Placed it in his eyes
He could see for the first time

What a story
Kinda hard to believe
But He opened up my eyes
So I could see

I believe in crazy stories
I believe dreams still come true
I believe in Guardian Angels
I believe in true love too
The eyes of my heart
My heart
Have seen
And I believe
I believe in crazy stories

One lonely girl
In a big lost world
Found a Pearl
Changed her life forever

What a story
Kinda hard to believe
But you know that lonely girl
She was me
She was me
That girl was me

And I believe in crazy stories
I believe dreams still come true
I believe in Guardian Angels
I believe in true love too
The eyes of my heart
My heart
Have seen
And I believe
I believe in crazy stories
I believe in crazy stories

Crazy stories

Dreams still come true
True love does too
Crazy stories

Rounding The Corners

This is a continuation of [Four Corners], and it should not be ignored.  For aside from it being found way too acceptable to teach that the Lord Jesus Christ is not really all-powerful, all-knowing, always-present and perfect in all of His most awesome ways, far too many are being led to focus all of their attention upon His perceived humanity, which is (in effect) to drag Him down to our level, when He wants to raise as many as will up to His.

No, they know not what they are teaching.  In fact, the actual intent of focusing attention upon His perceived humanity is to make Christ Jesus appear to be as approachable as possible.

Yes, much was needed to be changed.  For after hundreds of years of it being preached that we must clean up our own acts before we can be welcome in His sight, reminding people of the fact that He did walk among us as just a regular guy seemed like a good thing to do, and it would have been, if only it was indeed true.

No, this is not to deny that while He walked among us in the flesh that Christ Jesus suffered from hunger [Luke 4:2] and fatigue [John 4:6], nor that He could become enraged [John 2:13-16] and even deeply troubled [Luke 22:42-44].  Nonetheless, all of this was solely for the benefit of those who would have trouble believing that He truly understood what they were going through in this world [Hebrews 2:14-18].  For He most certainly was not just a regular guy [Matthew 8:23-27].

Yes, it can argued that Christ Jesus’s power was not His own.  For it is written: Then Jesus, full of and controlled by the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led in (by) the (Holy) Spirit. [Luke 4:1 AMP]

There are many other verses that allude to this, such as [John 5:30] and [John 6:37-40], but there is no getting around [John 1:1].  That is, unless you go as far as to rewrite the verse to fit what you want to believe, such as in the [New World Translation].

By the way, does not Luke 4:1 refute the claims that His Holy Spirit could not enter into this world until Christ Jesus returned to His Kingdom of Heaven?  That falsehood is based upon a gross misunderstanding of what Christ Jesus told His disciples on the eve of His crucifixion [John 16:5-7].  For instead of Him saying that His Holy Spirit could not come, He was merely reminding them of what He had already revealed, which was that He would always be with them in a different form after He gave Himself up as the sacrifice for all of our sins [John 14:15-20], which was always part of the plan [John 15:1-8].

Be assured that as it was with them [John 14:10-14], so is it in the same way with all who are truly in Christ Jesus [Mark 16:17-18]—even in this day and age [1Corinthians 12:1-13:13].  Nonetheless, it would do us well to understand that everything depends upon what [our Heavenly Father] wants to accomplish in and through someone [1 Corinthians12:11].  For those who want to believe that they have been actually given power and the authority to wield it as they see fit will not be welcome to spend all of eternity with our Heavenly Father in His Kingdom of Heaven as an heir to all that is His in glory, come Judgment Day [Matthew 7:21-23].

Alas, when a foundation is made smaller, it is made less stable to build upon.  Woe be it unto those who would rather believe the false things that are taught about Christ Jesus [2 Timothy 4:2-4] than humbly accept what He actually says is absolutely true about Himself [Matthew7:24-27].

Just Satan

Militant Muslims are quite fond of referring to the United States of America as being the great Satan, and [here] is Mitt Romney giving them a reason to think about us as they do.  For he could be our next president, and he feels like we should not be ashamed of the actions of some of our citizens when they do awful things.

If you are not up to speed on what this is about, the “stuff” was about to hit the proverbial fan in the Muslim world over a trailer for [Innocence of Muslims] being on YouTube, and in the hope of appeasing the outraged, a staffer with the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, Egypt issued a statement.  Now, I was unable to find a copy of the original statement, but I saw the following on a televised [Anderson Cooper] segment: The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continued efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims…as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions we firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.

If you haven’t seen Innocence of Muslims yet, you better hurry.  For the trailer can still be seen [here], but I don’t expect it to be up too much longer.  In fact, I am rather shocked that YouTube has not taken it down already.

Oh yeah, you are in for a real treat when you see it.  For Innocence of Muslims looks like something produced by a couple of teenagers while on a spray paint-huffing binge that makes even some [Syfy movies] look Oscar-worthy!
