I know nothing about the guy, but I can respect from this clip that he doesn't shy away from both living his testimony and also keeping it as a positive one. No doubt the anti-Christian bigots of the world hate that, and no doubt the MSM would rather see more headlines of lunatic Christians, and not genuine folks like Tebow. Good for him making the headlines (and Costas commentary seemed, for the most part, fair).
Fish, I'm starting to think that the two dominant themes of this blog are football and vasectomies. Is that a co-relation?
Tebow serves as a fine example of just how far most in the Christian community truly are from our Heavenly Father. For he has been given an incredible amount of attention because of his outspoken relationship with Christ Jesus, and all he can say is that he doesn't think He has anything to do with football. So, I ask, what relationship, and since most in the Christian community applaud his efforts, what kind of relationship do they truly have with Him?
Easy answer to that one, Fishhawk: Tebow understands what I do: football is idolatry, this that's why God doesn't have anything to do with football. Cheering for muscular young men by obsessed fans, scantly-clad cheerleaders, incessant alcohol ads - it's as Calvin would describe, a massive "temple of idols".
Hmmm, that does pose a dilemma, though, of why would Tebow, as a Christian, be playing football then?
You are certainly right about that, my dear Lavender! Be assured that it is all part of what He wants to accomplish, and be also assured that no one will be able to honestly say that they did not understand everything that He wanted them to, come Judgment Day. For He will make sure of that, Himself.
This site is meant to present as many views as possible of what we may want to believe is the truth about a number of subjects. For the more closely we seek to examine such, the closer we can come to accepting what our Heavenly Father actually says is absolutely true. For He will be there to counter what is not right, and He truly is interested in every aspect of our daily lives. Ah, but who is so deaf as the one who does not want to hear?
No, this is not for just articles about the possibility of us truly being in the end times. For it has been personally revealed to me that every day in this world is one of tribulation. In fact, even what we would naturally consider to be the best of lives is absolutely miserable in comparison to the worst of lives in our Heavenly Father’s Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, be assured that this is a place for articles on politics (both secular and religious), business practices, social issues, environmental concerns, as well as spiritual matters—not all from a strictly “Christian” perspective, neither.

On the other hand, you could contribute just as much by leaving comments that will encourage further discussion, but please try to be civil. For a challenge can be made without getting ugly about it. Well, at least that is what I have heard.

Be assured that our Heavenly Father has everything to do with everything, in one way or another, my dear Lavender.
Oh I know that, and I also know that he wasn't too pleased with that Golden Angus that the Israelites were fond of worshipping... (Exodus 32)

Fishhawk, you might be interested in Al Mohler's podcast today, as he addresses a number of the Tebow stories in the news recently: link
Thanks for letting me know, my dear Lavender! I'll check it out when I can.
