WhiteHeart Wednesday

LOVERS AND DREAMERS
WhiteHeart
It's the fact of the matter
Someone's gonna lead the land
That's the way
It's gonna be
Gonna do it anyway they can
It's so easy talkin’ about it
Criticize into the air
But how wise
Is a wise man
If all he ever does
Is sit in his chair

You can take your seat in the stands
Oh but what we really need are
Lovers
And dreamers
Lovers of the Light
We need lovers
And dreamers
Dreamers with Heavenly sight
We need lovers

Really isn't a wonder
The world doesn't listen at all
We've lost the color
In the picture
We drew the picture way too small
So paint a new horizon
See the world He's placed in you
Open up
To the vision
You got a lotta livin’
Livin’ to do

Don't you take your seat in the stands
Oh but what we really need are
Lovers
And dreamers
Lovers of the Light
We need lovers
And dreamers
Dreamers with Heavenly sight
People
To follow
Who care enough for tomorrow
Leaders
Who honor
The Savior
Who want to carry the fight

Someone's gonna lead the land
Oh but what we really need are
Lovers
And dreamers
Lovers of the Light
We need lovers
And dreamers
Dreamers with Heavenly sight
We need lovers
And dreamers
Lovers of the Light
We need lovers
And dreamers
Dreamers with Heavenly sight

We need lovers

MAN OVERBOARD
WhiteHeart
Man over me
Man over you
Man like a fist
Man wanna rule
The crystal ball
Predicts the fall
Man overlord
Man overboard

Feels like we’re driftin’
For some dark uncharted land
Don’t know where we’re goin’
But it’s not where we have been
Did we think that we could sail
The waters of this storm
We can’t control the rudder
And the sail’s getting torn
I’m afraid for me
I’m afraid for you

Man over me
Man over you
Man like a fist
Man wanna rule
The crystal ball
Predicts the fall
Man overlord
Man overboard

Everywhere I turn
I feel the power of the sea
To think that we are drownin’
In our own hypocrisy
Devoured by the amount of all
The things that we create
We thought we were creators
Now we’re eaten by our fate
I’m afraid for me
I’m afraid for you

Man over me
Man over you
Man like a fist
Man wanna rule
The crystal ball
Predicts the fall
Man overlord
Man overboard
Man over me
Man over you
Man like a fist
Man wanna rule
The crystal ball
Predicts the fall
Man overlord
Man overboard

Man over me
Man over you
Man like a fist
Man wanna rule
The crystal ball
Predicts the fall
Man overlord
Man overboard
Man over me
Man over you
Man like a fist
Man wanna rule
The crystal ball
Predicts the fall
Man overlord
Man overboard
Man overboard
Man overboard
Man overboard
We’re falling
Man over

Overboard

MAYBE TODAY
WhiteHeart
I watched the news today in silence
Looks like the world
Is spinnin’ out of control
Reality seems so hard
Do I hear echoes of Isaiah
All the prophecies
Are come to one place
Maybe it’s time the end’s in sight
Why search the sky
They should be searchin’ inside

Maybe today
Maybe tomorrow
That’s not the question for me
No matter what time
I’m gonna follow
Keeper of all eternity

Heaven will always be there waitin’
Drama flows
Our Lord will return
You know that time will surely come
Until it does
So much work must be done

Maybe today
Maybe tomorrow
That’s not the question for me
No matter what time
I’m gonna follow
Keeper of all eternity

Whoa oh oh oh

Maybe today
Maybe tomorrow
That’s not the question for me
No matter what cost
I’m gonna follow
Keeper of all eternity
Maybe today
Maybe tomorrow
That’s not the question for me
No matter what cost
I’m gonna follow
Keeper of all eternity

Maybe today
Maybe tomorrow

No matter what cost
I’m gonna follow

Maybe today

Didn't know these songs. Good stuff.

Thanks for stopping by, my dear Jenny!!! WhiteHeart was hugely popular on the contemporary Christian side of the charts during the 90s, and their music goes from easy listening to hard rock, with the harder stuff coming near the end of their existence as a band. The middle song here (Man Overboard) came from their last album, which was considered to be of the alternative genre.
