Say These Lines?

Crazy Times
Jars of Clay
You're cold that way
And that's why you say
The things that you say
You can't attract
The things that you lack
You're trying in vain

It seems
It's always the crazy times
You find
You'll wake up and realize
It takes
More than your saline eyes
To make things right

You spiral down
You've broken your crown
You don't feel like a queen
You've seen the proof
But you're still crying wolf
You'll never believe

It seems
It's always the crazy times
You find
You'll wake up and realize
It takes
More than your saline eyes
To make things right

You try to climb a broken ladder
Grip the missing rungs
And fall
Down
Down
Down
Down
Seems some time ago you said
This wouldn't last
And now you sit here crying

Beside your bed
You feel left for dead
You kneel in the dark

It takes
More than your saline eyes
To make things right

It seems
It's always the crazy times
You find
You'll wake up and realize
It takes
More than your saline eyes
To make things right

Lyrics From: [A-Z Lyrics Universe]

NOTE: Before closing, I feel compelled to explain what the title to this piece is all about.  For while I was listening to the song for the first time in quite a while the other day, I kept hearing More than your say these lines instead of saline eyes in the chorus, which is significant to me.  For our Heavenly Father has been bringing it back around into my range of focus that far too many in the Christian community would still rather believe in what are really doctrines of demons that dictate the reciting of certain prayers and parts of Scripture to bring about their deliverance from whatever mess they may find themselves in as if His words are meant to be employed in the same way as one would speak an incantation to cast a magical spell.  May they want to be delivered out of this trap before it is too late.

Hi Jerry,
Strangely enough I was reading your Adam and Eve the other day, but didn't have time to leave a comment. This song reminds me of the 'clay' person, the one made from the earth who thinks that everything can be put right by just saying 'sorry' but carrying on doing the things they say they are sorry about doing. Not genuine repentance, which can only be found by becoming a new creation in Jesus, the second 'Adam'. By the way, thankyou for your comment regarding Sandra Mack, I left an answer on my blog.

Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Brenda!!! I look forward to hearing what you think about what I was given to say about Adam and Eve when you are given the time to leave a comment--even if you do not agree with it, which I hope is not the case.

Hi Jerry,
missed a word out in the first comment.
No I don't disagree with what you have written concerning dualism. I think this life is a testing place, everything was meant to be, and when you speak about everything in twos I believe that includes responsibility for one's own actions even though in the natural mind we do not have the wisdom of God. We are given choices between good and evil, but we do not realize until we begin to have our minds renewed in Christ Jesus through the teachings of the Holy Spirit, what is good and what is evil in God's eyes. While everyone is right in their own eyes there will always be 'chaos'. One day with the Lord is as a thousand years, this is why the Adam and Eve story can be taken both literally and spiritually, depending on which mind you are working it out with. Sin simply means to 'miss the mark', and to me it is as if God is a shaft of light and if I walk away from that shaft of light then I walk into darkness. In Jesus I begin to recognize what 'light' really is and it is usually the opposite to what my carnal mind says is perfection. I have to have my mind completely renewed and until I am born again of that Holy Spirit, the teacher, I cannot know the mind of God because His thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are our ways His ways. I find it interesting that if you turn the word 'evil' around it becomes 'live', and that is exactly what we are able to do in Christ, live, eternally. The tree of life was denied Adam and Eve when they questioned God's word and ate from the tree of knowledge and good and evil. They were denied it because until they had learned to distinguish between God's 'good' and God's evil they were not allowed to have that 'eternal life'. Jesus is the tree of life which we are allowed to eat from and because He became a sacrifice for our sins, we are not under God's wrath while we learn. That does not mean we can sin 'wilfully' once we know the truth, but there is a divine forgiveness in Jesus which requires no other sacrifice, but requires our obedience as we learn from our longsuffering loving Lord.

Sorry Jerry,
I meant 'the tree of the knowledge of good and evil'. I must check what I have written before I publish it eh?

Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Brenda!!! There is much that I want to respond to, but I just don't have the energy to do so at this time. When I am allowed and enabled to, I will let you know.

Okay, I am back, my dear Brenda, and it was suggested that I should ask you about just what article on dualism you are referring to. For that would save a lot of time and energy that I have not been given to spare. Could it be that you are referring to what was actually Arash's article?

Yes Jerry,
I did not realize until last night that there was another person who puts posts on this blog. I really thought the Adam and Eve post(which, when I click on it, comes up as dualism and the broblem and necessity of evil) was yours, but at the same time was a little confused that you was making a comment on your own post in the way you did. I should have read the comments first, but only had time to read the post, which I thought was yours. The comment I made on this post should have been made on Adam and Eve, my apologies Jerry. I have answered the comment you made on my blog, but am not quite sure what part of my writings your question was refering to.

Thank you for clearing that up, my dear Brenda. The comment I left on your "Recovery" was in regards to something you said in your reply to Jephyr's comment, which could be taken in a number of ways. To be more specific, it was in regards to: "I believe that to a certain extent, which increases as we grow in Jesus, we begin to feel the same as Jesus Himself did with regard to God. He had one hundred percent of God's Spirit in Him and yet had fellowship with man, allowing Himself to be sacrifeced, in order to reconcile us back to God."

Ah,
What I meant there is that our feelings towards God, once we are baptized in the Holy Spirit, become 'Father- child 'relationship, growing in degree as we mature in Him, even though we may not have all the knowledge of God that Jesus had. I hope I have explained what I believe Jesus' status was while on earth in my answer to your comment on my blog.

Yes, my dear Brenda, I believe it has, and I greatly appreciate you making an effort to clear up any confusion in the best way you can. Like He had me state in an earlier exchange, you are trying to align what He is personally revealing to you with what has been taught in His name, which is often problematic. For the very sad reality is that far too much of what has been taught in His name is really quite contrary to what He actually says is absolutely true.

Be assured that it has been the same with me, and it will become easier as time goes on. Of course, you may be a much better student than I fear I have been.

Brenda said...

No Jerry I am aligning what He is personally saying to me through the scriptures with what is happening in my own life, and it makes sense but often goes against what is being taught in His name in churches.

Okay, my dear Brenda, I do not want to make matters worse. So, I'll be shutting-up about it for now.
