WhiteHeart Wednesday (Catch-Up Edition)

NOTE: I cannot believe that I neglected to publish a WhiteHeart Wednesday the last two weeks.  In all fairness, I was absolutely focused on completing the The Crackerhead Chronicles audio version project on time, and I do not remember it being brought to my attention that I was forgetting about WhiteHeart Wednesday.  Anyway, since I have enough of their songs to go until October of 2014 without repeating anything other than Independence Day for our Fourth of July and The Little Drummer Boy for Christmas, I would like to get back on schedule by including three songs this week.  Besides, who from among us can give too much?

Following The King
WhiteHeart
He never told us pretty stories
He didn't try to feed us shiny lines
He said the way of faith wasn't easy
And the world would make it harder all the time

But we've heard His truth
And made our choice
We know where we are going
We're not turning back
Or changing course

We are marching on
Following the King
We are His people
We will go where He leads
We are marching on
Singing songs of victory
We're getting stronger
So much stronger
We are following the King

Don't you hold us up as heroes
Because the power that we have is not our own
For the strength that is inside us
Is coming from the One who leads us home

Spirit of Love
He is our source
He shows us where we're going
We're not turning back
Or changing course

We are marching on
Following the King
We are His people
We will go where He leads
We are marching on
Singing songs of victory
We're getting stronger
So much stronger
We are following the King

We believe in the King of kings
We believe

We are marching on
Following the King

We are marching on

Following the King

We are marching on

We are marching on

And we’re following the King

We are marching on

We are marching on

Gabriela
WhiteHeart
All those empty streets
I have wandered down
The restless nights
And lonely dawns
Seems like forever I’ve looked for you
Now the dream that I’ve been waiting for
Is coming true
The dream is you

Gabriela
Angel of mercy
She comes to my night
On wings full of light
Gabriela
My love and my friend
Come take my hand
May the dance never end
Gabriela

Now I hear your voice
Sing inside of me
The missing song
I could never be
I see you through the mist of my grateful tears
Even in those lonely times when you’re not here
Your face appears
You are so near

Gabriela
Angel of mercy
She comes to my night
On wings full of light
Gabriela
My love and my friend
Come take my hand
May the dance never end

Gabriela
If we were born unto another time and place
Somehow my Lord would lead me to the love and grace
Of my Gabriela
Oh I love you Gabriela

Gabriela
Angel of mercy
She comes to my night
On wings full of light
Gabriela
My love and my friend
Come take my hand
May the dance never end
Gabriela

Give Enough
WhiteHeart
It oughta be better
Because we lived
It oughta be better
Because we tried
The world should be better
‘Because we gave up
So much better
Because we died to ourselves
And rose on the flame
Of the Spirit of love
And the power in His name

We just can’t give enough
We just can’t give enough
The whole world needs His love
We just can’t give enough

Come on prophets
Prophesy
Oh come on dreamers
Dream your dreams
Come on teachers
And speakers
And
Dancers
Singers
All God’s sinners
Live what it means to be free
Of all the things we have done
To be washed in the river of love
Of His Son

We just can’t give enough
We just can’t give enough
The whole world needs His love
We just can’t give enough
We just can’t give enough

Everybody’s a messenger
Everybody’s got something to say
And anyone who believes in Him
Can be another step along the way
That leads to redemption
Come on
Come on
Come on

We just can’t give enough
We just can’t give enough
The whole world needs His love
We just can’t give enough
We just can’t give enough
We just can’t give enough
The whole world needs His love
We just can’t give enough
We just can’t give enough

Give enough
